HOWARD, Verna

Veedersburg—Mrs. Verna F. Howard passed away at her home in Veedersburg Thursday morning after being in failing health the past five years. She was born May 3, 1880 near Wingate, Indiana, the daughter of James and Ellen Bagby Wilson. On December 21, 1899 she became the wife of the Rev. Charles E. Howard of Veedersburg. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church at Wingate.
  Surviving are the husband; four sons, Everett, Lawrence, and Leslie, Veedersburg and Owen, Albuquerque, N. M.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Andrews, Veedersburg and Mrs. Dorothy Adler, Decatur, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Dora Howard, Veedersburg; the stepmother, Mrs. Etta Wilson, Wingate; a half brother, Glen Wilson, Wingate; a half sister, Mrs. Alice Burnett, Lafayette; and eight grandchildren.
  Tentative funeral arrangements have been made for 2:00 Saturday afternoon, pending the arrival of her son, Owen. Rev. R. E. Emmert will officiate; services will be held in the Sterling Christian Church and burial will be made in the Rockfield Cemetery.
